Tom Walker, Executive DirectorTom Walker

Mr. Walker is responsible for administration and marketing and provides spiritual leadership for the studio. He is a Director of South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary and has served as a Post-abortion Counselor for First Care Family Resource Center , a Campus Guide for First Priority South Florida and a Teacher/trainer for Evangelism Explosion. He is a member of Boca Raton Community Church where he first became involved in the performing arts ministry. Mr. Walker is married to Rosario Walker and has two daughters, Isabel and Marina, both EOJ! students.

Josiane Geyer, Sondance Ballet Theatre and Expressions of Joy Creative Director Josi Geyer Head Shot

Mrs. Geyer provides leadership in all areas of choreography, instruction and production serving as the creative Director for Expressions of Joy Dance School and Sondance Ballet Theatre. She teaches in the areas of Ballet (Ballet en pointe), Lyrical and Hip-Hop. Josi began studying dance, music and drama at the age of ten in her native Brazil under Mr. Wald Oliveira (He had a eclectic approach to dance - mainly Ballet and contemporary, but also in jazz, hiphop and lyrical). She grew up in Santa Catarina, a Brazilian state known internationally for its cultural sophistication and its international Dance Festivals (Special guests were such as The Bolshoi ballet from Russia and Stuttgart ballet from Germany along with some of the greatest Modern dance companies in the world). She also studied dance and arts with many other teachers from her private catholic school: Divina Proviencia. Josi had the privilege to perform professionally when still in High school under Wald Oliveria for many years before coming to USA.
In the United States, Mrs. Geyer directed, taught, and danced with The Joy Foundation (mainly jazz and hiphop styles). Josi also served as choreographer for Highlands Christian Academy musicals as well as other independent productions and Schools.

As the Creative Director for Expressions of Joy, Josi Geyer has directed and choreographed all major student/teacher productions. She has taught many workshops and seminars (including the 2007 and 2008 seminar of the National Dance Association of America, Step Up and Palm Beach Community College Summer intensives). Josi continues to perform with the school and companies such as GDT (Greenhouse Dance Theatre) in many community events and special projects.
Josi's own training continues at Ballet Classique in Fort Lauderdale under Mrs. Magda Aunon as well as attending production and arts workshops, Teacher seminars and intensive camps and conferences such as Ballet Magnificat, Master workshops in Hip-Hop (from Josh "Hasma t" Ulep- American best crew dancers) and others. Her passion is arts and dance (all styles) and she desires to prepare students to take the ministry of dance to many events and performances in the community.
Josi is married to Rick Geyer, IT Director for Highlands Christian Academy and Grace Baptist Church where both are active members.

Maurice Adderley, Expressions of Joy Co-DirectorMaurice Adderley

Mr. Maurice Adderley teaches Modern/Contemporary Dance. At a very early age, he began dancing as a member of his local church’s dance ministry.As a result of his effectiveness in ministry, despite the fact that he had no formal training, Maurice realized that he truly had a gift. Fixed on becoming one of the next great tap dancers, he was exposed to tap, ballet, modern, and several other dance forms by Ms. Diana Dunbar at the age of 14. He began teaching and performing as a semi-professional while still a student. He continued his dance education and exposure through various studios, schools of dance and dance intensives such as Alvin Ailey company and others. Extensive travel throughout Europe also added to the versatility of his dance training. Additionally, Maurice was fortunate to have the opportunity to study African, flamenco and various forms of ballroom dance.During senior high, he was invited to dance with the Tony Large Dance Company. Mr. Adderley has also served as founder and co-founder for both dance schools and companies.

Mr. Adderley and his wife, Bridgette, are active and devout members of M.E.C. Ministries of Pompano Beach, where he also serves as a leader of Divine Vessels of Honor, a ministry of dance. He will continue a leadership role here at EOJ School, serving as creative director and Sondance Ballet Theatre Assistent Director.

Rebecca Brito, Office ManagerBebecca Brito

Rebecca Brito is serving Expressions of Joy as the Office Manager. She is also an Accounting Major at Florida Atlantic University. Rebecca has an immense passion for the the arts and everything creative. This passion began at a very early age when she studied music (voice, piano, flute) and at seven years old, she discovered the art of writing. She has been honored with many writing awards and attended Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of Arts for writing. Even though Rebecca no longer devotes much time to writing, it continues to remain a gigantic part of her life and who she is. Even so, in 2004, during her freshman year of high school, Rebecca became inspired by several dancers and sure enough added dance to her “artistic portfolio”. Thus at the age of 14, she began training at Dance-Unlimited under Miss Danielle Minton and now has continued to train under the direction of all teachers at Expressions of Joy. Along with this, Rebecca leads her church’s dance ministry with Marcela Paula. Rebecca also dreams of one day operating an arts academy and is beyond delighted to have joined Expressions of Joy where she is constantly amazed by the faith of the staff.

Alison Davis, Dance Ministry InstructorAllison Davis

Mrs. Davis teaches Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, and Ballet (pointe). She has been dancing since she was three years old and began teaching ten years later. She has been teaching at Expressions of Joy since 2006 and is the teacher for our dance company. Her training includes sixteen years at CSAD and Pro-Am studio in Pompano Beach where she was extensively involved in competitions and touring. Mrs. Davis danced with the Miami City Ballet in 1991 (The Nutcracker) and Young Broadway Stars in 1993 and 1994. She has had numerous students graduate to professional dance carrers including performing on Broadway in NYC, and dancing with such groups as Sesame Street Live. Her husband Tony Davis attends Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale with Alison and their three children where she serves as a Director of the Dance Ministry.

Alexandra Grant, Dance Ministry Instructor and Production Assistant

Alexandra Grant began dancing at age four in Kingston, Jamaica. In the U.S., she trained at Ballet Etudes School and studied Dance Education at New World School of the Arts and Florida International University, Miami. She performed in professional productions including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia and Giselle with Ballet Etudes Co. of South Fla. Alexandra is also a dancer/choreographer for the Emmy-Award winning Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant. She teaches ballet and jazz and choreographs for events, musicals and Christian ministries. Alexandra serves at Expressions of Joy as dancer, Teacher, choreographer and Production Assistant.She is also a member of First Baptist Church, Fort Lauderdale.

Nicole Hernandez, Dance Ministry InstructorNicole Hernandez

Mrs. Nicole Hernandez teaches Lyrical/Modern, Ballet and Creative Movement. She has been dancing since she was eight and has Trained/Performed with Ballet E-Tudes and Peaches School of Dance, she was then accepted into the Dance Magnet Program for Performing Arts at Dr.Michael M. Krop Senior High School where she trained solely in Ballet/Modern and was accepted into the Bernadette Pierre Modern Reperatory Company where she followed under the Martha Graham teaching. She continued her studies in Lyrical at New Dawn Ministries and is now continuing her training here at Expressions of Joy along with being part of The Greenhouse Dance Theatre. Her and Husband Jacy Hernandez became Trainee's in Evangelism Explosion at CRPC and are now currently member's at Palm Vista Community Church as well as soon be attending Trinity Theology college where they will be working towards there BA in Ministry and Theology.

Denna McDaniel, Dance Ministry Instructor Denna McDaniel

Mrs. McDaniel teaches a variety of aerobics since 1991 and is certified through AFFA. She currently teaches cardio aerobics and Pilates at Barry University and Enhanced Fitness for seniors through Nova University. She assists EOJ! in marketing, special projects and ministry outreach, as well as a dance ministry instructor for mime, drama and hip-hop. Mrs. McDaniel founded/directed and preformed with the street ministry team Unveiled Heart which presented the Gospel through dance/drama for 6 years in Central Missouri. Her background includes radio and television production, writing, speaking and event coordination. She has extensive experience in body-building, ice skating and choreography. She’s a graduate of Oklahoma University with a BA in Journalism and her weekly Christian column Positively Beautiful is in its 14th year of publication. Denna and her husband Mickey McDaniel have four children, three home schooled and one is married. They are all members of Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church-OPC.
