Christian Marriage Workshop: Valentines Weekend
When: February 12 & 13, 2010
Learn to make your marriage work like a beautiful dance with your spouse... This workshop takes the tangible lessons of ballroom dancing and integrates them with the perfect wisdom of God and advice from a Christian marriage expert to form the most fun, romantic and effective way to transform your marriage. This workshop is led by seasoned ballroom dance instructor, Sean Forhan with assistance from Page and Jolie Parker, who have witnessed the miracle of these Bible-based principles in their own marriage. You'll learn the basics of Rumba, Waltz and Salsa in hours, not weeks. And you’ll acquire some great new relationship tools at the same time. We reach out to existing church-based dance ministries with workshops emphasizing excellence in technique and variety in vocabulary. And we reach out to the rest of the churches with demonstrations of the use of dance in worship and community outreach.
Academic Outreach
We bring dance education into the schools and home school groups to supplement fine arts and physical education programs. And we support student groups in developing their own alternative performance teams within the schools.
Sondance Outreach
Professional level dances and choreographies that will bring the message of Christ through a variaty of avenues.
Greenhouse Dance Theatre (Company class: Advanced Jazz, Lyrical and Modern) - works with churches, schools and community organizations to provide performing arts education and performances in a variety of settings. Our students, teachers and professionals are invited to be in this Company and will have the opportunity to bring unique messages into the community through performance and leadership activities. ONLY BY INVITATION
Salsa Praise
Christian Salsa? Absolutely! Latin beats and Christian lyrics. Whether we’re performing with a Christian Salsa orchestra or hosting a dance party, we use the dance to bring the message. It’s the first of many ethnic and folkloric dance ministries we plan to develop.
