Mrs. Geyer provides leadership in all areas of choreography, instruction and production. She personally teaches the Vaganova Ballet Syllabus an directs all productions and outreach performances. Josi began studying dance, music and drama at the age of ten in her native Brazil under Mr. Wald Oliveira (He had a eclectic approach to dance – mainly Ballet and Contemporary, but also Jazz, HipHop and Lyrical). She grew up in Santa Catarina, a Brazilian state known internationally for its cultural sophistication and its international Dance Festivals (Special guests were such as The Bolshoi Ballet and Stuttgart Ballets along with some of the greatest Modern dance companies in the world). She also studied dance and arts with many other teachers from her private catholic school: Divina Providencia. Josi had the privilege to perform professionally, beginning when still in High school, for many years before coming to USA.
In the United States, Mrs. Geyer directed, taught, and danced with The Joy Foundation (mainly jazz and hiphop styles). She also served as choreographer for Highlands Christian Academy musicals as well as other independent productions and Schools.

Rebecca Brito, Dance Minister/Administrator
Rebecca Brito is the Administrator for Expressions of Joy. She also teaches Jazz, Contemporary and Modern dance as well as Pre-ballet. Ms. Brito is currently completing her business degree at Florida Atlantic University. Rebecca has an immense passion for the the arts and everything creative. This passion began at a very early age when she studied music (voice, piano, flute) and at seven years old, she discovered the art of writing. She has been honored with many writing awards and attended Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of Arts for writing. Even though Rebecca no longer devotes much time to writing, it continues to remain a gigantic part of her life and who she is. Even so, in 2004, during her freshman year of high school, Rebecca became inspired by several dancers and sure enough added dance to her “artistic portfolio”. Thus at the age of 14, she began training at Dance-Unlimited under Miss Danielle Minton and now has continued to train under the direction of all teachers at Expressions of Joy. Along with this, Rebecca leads her church’s dance ministry with Marcela Paula. Rebecca also dreams of one day operating an arts academy and is beyond delighted to have joined Expressions of Joy where she is constantly amazed by the faith of the staff.
